The Blue Gate map in Arc Raiders with the Ancient Fort marked in the south, the POI the Ancient Fort Security Code spawns inside
The Blue Gate. The reticle marks the Ancient Fort itself. This is the one case on the whole site where the marker is genuinely a spawn area rather than a door, because the code only ever spawns inside its namesake POI.

A gate code, not a door key

Inside the Ancient Fort in the south

Here is the fact that makes this item worth its own guide.

The four security codes are the only items in the key category with a genuinely fixed spawn area. Every other key in Arc Raiders is a random drop from the shared loot pool: no marker, no guaranteed container, no reliable farm. The codes are the exception. The Ancient Fort Security Code spawns inside the Ancient Fort. That is not a tendency or a community report, that is how the item works.

What that means in practice. Walk to the Ancient Fort in the south of the map. Search it. There is a minimum of one code per round, and more than one can spawn in a single run. You are not gambling on a container roll, you are doing a sweep of a known building.

Sources describe the container slightly differently. The item page says it turns up in any lootable container inside the POI. The Locked Gate page says each code prints in a Code Printer within its area. Those two are easy to reconcile by just searching everything in the fort, which takes less time than working out which source is right.

Where you use it. The Gate Control Room, at one of four terminals. The room is marked on your map when the Locked Gate condition is active. No source pins it to a precise POI, so follow the marker rather than a description.

Nothing on its own, it is one of four

Not a door. A map condition.

Locked Gate is a condition exclusive to The Blue Gate. A group has triggered an emergency shutdown at the underground tunnel entrance, and the main gate stays shut until all four codes are entered. The four are:

CodeSpawns inside
Ancient Fort Security CodeAncient Fort, south
Pilgrim's Peak Security CodePilgrim's Peak, north east
Raider's Refuge Security CodeRaider's Refuge, north west
Reinforced Reception Security CodeReinforced Reception, centre north

Enter all four and the outer gates open permanently for that raid, and everyone in the lobby gets to walk through them. You are not opening a private room, you are opening the map.

What submitting the code does

Behind the gate: the underground tunnel complex, and it is worth the work.

Guides report weapon lockers, security breaches, a weapon case and a spread of containers in the Security Wing below Reinforced Reception, plus side tunnels stacked with lockers on the way in. The Bobcat SMG blueprint is the headline pull during this condition, most often out of red lockers and drawers, although it can spawn anywhere on the map while the event is running.

Also down there: the door the Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key opens, marked by the MANTIKOR sign. If you are already underground with that key in your pocket, do both.

Expect a Bastion and a spread of ARC in the tunnels. This is not a quiet stroll after the gate opens.

Only during the Locked Gate condition

The code itself costs you almost nothing. It is 0 Coins of value, it spawns in a building you were probably going to loot anyway, and you can bank it.

The condition around it is where the cost sits. Locked Gate changes the raid:

So the honest answer: grab the code whenever you are in the Ancient Fort, because it is free. Only commit a full raid to the gate run if your squad is set up for the tunnels, because the condition has taken away two of your normal outs.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the Ancient Fort Security Code spawn?
Inside the Ancient Fort itself, in the south of The Blue Gate. At least one spawns per round and sometimes more than one. This is the rare case where the map marker really is a spawn area, because the code only ever appears inside its namesake POI.
What is the Ancient Fort Security Code for?
It is one of four codes needed to open the main gate during the Locked Gate map condition on The Blue Gate. You submit it at one of four terminals in the Gate Control Room, and it is consumed on submission.
Do I need all four security codes in one raid?
No. Codes can be extracted and banked, so you can collect them across multiple raids. Bring what you have, submit it, and come back for the rest.
Can I sell or delete a security code?
No on both counts. Value is 0 Coins, and it cannot be deleted from your Speranza stash. The only ways to get rid of one are dropping it during a raid or submitting it at a terminal.
Is the code in a specific container at the Ancient Fort?
Sources differ. The item page says any lootable container inside the POI. The Locked Gate page says each code prints in a Code Printer within its area. Search everything in the fort and you cover both.
