The top floor of Container Storage
Three doors in, one of them locked
It is not sitting near the door. Arc Raiders keys are loose container loot, and this one can drop on any map, in any raid, from any container that rolls keys.
The containers to search are the small ones: desk drawers, bedside drawers, filing cabinets, office lockers, toolboxes. Ammo crates and big industrial containers do not roll keys.
- Residential interiors are the highest odds. Apartments and furnished rooms pack in the most drawers and cabinets per minute of looting, and that is where the community consistently reports pulling this key.
- Ruby Residence on Dam Battlegrounds is the single most cited spot. It is a different map from Spaceport, which is worth repeating: the key does not spawn where it is used.
- Players carry them. Anyone who has been looting residential rooms is a walking key stash. Loot every backpack.
- Quest listings vary. Some references list this key as a quest reward. Sources disagree on which quest, so treat scavenging as the reliable path and take a quest key as a bonus if one shows up.
Selling it is possible and not recommended. The vendor price is trivial next to what the room holds.
The top floor room east of Control Tower A6
The in game text is short: a key for container storage at the Spaceport. Our map puts the marker on Container Storage, east of Control Tower A6, in the middle band of the map.
The door is on the top floor, on the building's northeastern side. Take the stairs all the way up, then loop around the metal grated walkway until you see a door with a red light on it. Three separate doors feed into the same room, from the north, the east and the west. Your key opens whichever one you reach first, and once you are standing inside you can open the other two by hand. That is genuinely useful: it gives you a second exit if someone pushes you while your bag is open.
Watch the camera near the southern approach. If you come up that way, it can flag you to the ARC in the area before you have touched anything.
Shipping containers and cargo spawns
Container Storage is an industrial room, and the loot table reads that way. It leans heavily toward mechanical parts, crafting materials and weapon rolls rather than residential trinkets. Reported contents include:
- Roughly six industrial lockers, the red ones, which are the bulk of the value in here.
- An ammo case, useful even on a bad run because it pays for the ammo you spent getting up here.
- Several breachable rusted iron containers, which need a breach charge or the right tool.
- Loose mechanical spawns across shelves and floor space.
- At least one wall mounted power conduit, a solid crafting pull.
- Weapon and blueprint rolls from the higher tier containers, including the occasional high rarity weapon.
A full clear commonly lands in the region of 30,000 coins of value, though that is a rough figure from player reports rather than a fixed table. Loot rooms roll every raid, so a weak roll is always on the cards.
Long sightlines make the approach the risk
It is worth it when you can get there clean, and it is a trap when you cannot.
Our database places this room in the orange loot zone, the denser and more contested band of Spaceport rather than the quiet outskirts. Container Storage sits close to the map's center of gravity, and there are multiple raider spawns within a couple of minutes of sprinting. You are rarely the only person who thought about this building.
The ARC presence is the other half of the problem. Bigger bots patrol the surrounding yard, and the classic way this run dies is getting jumped by a Hornet while you are already committed to a fight with something larger. Clear the airspace before you climb, not after.
Go for it when:
- You are running the middle of the map anyway, especially if you are also hitting Control Tower A6.
- You have space for mechanical parts and crafting materials, which is most of this room.
- You have a breach charge, so the rusted iron containers are not wasted.
Leave it when your bag is already full or your team is down a player. The stairs are a long, loud commitment and there is no fast way out of a top floor room.

Frequently asked questions
- Where do you use the Spaceport Container Storage Key?
- At Container Storage on The Spaceport, east of Control Tower A6. The locked door is on the top floor, on the northeastern side of the building, past the metal grated walkway. Look for the door with a red light.
- Can one key open all three Container Storage doors?
- The key opens one of the three doors. Once you are inside the room, you can open the other two from within, which gives you extra exits. It still only counts as one unlock, and the key is consumed.
- Where does the Spaceport Container Storage Key spawn?
- It is random container loot and can drop on any map. Search desk drawers, cabinets and lockers in residential interiors for the best odds. Ruby Residence on Dam Battlegrounds is the most commonly reported source.
- How much loot is in the Container Storage room?
- Player reports commonly land around 30,000 coins for a full clear, mostly from industrial lockers, breachable containers, an ammo case and loose mechanical parts. It rolls each raid, so a weaker haul is possible.
- What should I watch out for on the way in?
- Raider spawns are close by, there is a camera near the southern approach that can alert ARC, and Hornets like to show up while you are already fighting a larger bot. Clear the air before you climb the stairs.
